Digital Health and Care Conference, 9th December 2015

 

Back in December, nuVIDEO attended the Scottish Digital Health & Care Conference in Glasgow. This was a great opportunity to meet with a host of health and technology professionals, and discuss and promote technology-enabled care. Highlighting progress in the areas of telecare, assistive technology, mobile and eHealth, the conference helped raise awareness of the need for continual investment in technology in the health and care sector.

nuVIDEO were pleased to take part in what was a well organised, and well attended, conference once again!

 

 

Digital Health and Care Conference, 9th December 2015

 

nuVIDEO are set to exhibit at this year's Digital Health and Care Conference at the Strathclyde Technology Innovation Centre. Taking place on the 9th December, the conference offers UK organisations the opportunity to learn about person-centred approaches to scaling up technology-enabled care, and the TEC programme.

Hosted by the Scottish Centre for Telehealth and Telecare, and NHS 24, this year's conference theme is:

"Using innovative technology to enable more integrated, sustainable & person-centred health and care."

The conference programme will present the delegates with a range of perspectives, from health, social care and the voluntary sectors. These complimentary perspectives will highlight progress in the areas of telecare, assistive technology, mobile and eHealth.

As leading integrators of Audio Visual and Video Conferencing solutions, nuVIDEO is committed to improving communication systems within the health and care services. Cisco Video Specialisation July 2015

At the end of July 2015, nuVIDEO's Michael Macneil, Neil Brogan and Craig Morris completed training - and passed exams! - to allow nuVIDEO to transition to Cisco Advance Video Specialisation. Achieving this specialisation demonstrates our video collaboration expertise and retains our position as a leading Cisco partner in Scotland.

A huge well done and thanks to the team!

 

International Conference on Integrated Care

From 25-27th March 2015, we attended the International Conference on Integrated Care hosted at the Sheraton Hotel in Edinburgh.

We met with delegates from across the globe and it gave us the chance to explain how we work closely with the NHS in Scotland to help it deliver video conferencing services.

We also took the opportunity to demonstrate the next generation 8055iG5 SMART Interactive Display. The display has exciting new features and improved software.

Scottish Centre for Telehealth and Telecare

On Thursday 6th November 2014, we attended an SCTT conference in Edinburgh. We demonstrated Cisco's all-in-one SX10 VC system which provides users with the full HD video conferencing experience at a very affordable price. For more information on the SX10 click here.

Granite EXPO Aberdeen

On Thursdsay 30th October 2014, we attended and exhibited at the Granite EXPO in Aberdeen and had Steljes' T.O.M Truck to showcase SMART Technologies products. There was a large turnout and we were pleased to see so many new (and familiar) faces.

 

Telehealth and Telecare

The event was held on Wednesday 18th June at the Perth Concert Hall, Perth. We had a very successful visit showcasing the new Cisco SX10, video enabling small-medium meeting rooms. The Scottish Centre for Telehealth and Telecare (SCTT) supports knowledge transfer in order to share learning and promote good practice approaches in the delivery of technology enabled health and care services in Scotland.The Scottish Telehealth and Telecare Learning Network is a vibrant and diverse Learning Network which includesstaff working in health, allied health, social care, independent care, housing and 3rd sectors.

Programme features:

  • Workshop discussions
  • Opportunities to network with colleagues
  • Exhibition space to meet with industry representatives

 

Barco, winners of InAVation Awards held at ISE 2014 in Amsterdam

Former Prime Minister visits nuVIDEO

nuVIDEO welcomed a special visitor on the 22nd November.

Former Prime Minister Gordon Brown used our Boardroom videoconferencing facilities to participate in a Telemedicine Forum organised by the Division of Policy Translation & Leadership Development at the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston, USA.

Mr Brown said “I would like to thank the staff at nuVIDEO for their hospitality and for making this videoconference possible. These state of the art facilities are a real asset to Fife.”

He also very kindly took time out to chat with some of the staff.

Mr Brown served as Prime Minister and Leader of the Labour Party from 2007 to 2010. He is currently the United Nations Special Envoy for Global Education and the Member of Parliament for Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath.

 

2013 European Telemedicine Conference

At the end of October, we attended and exhibited at the 2013 European Telemedicine Conference that was held in the Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh. The joint event (with SCTT) was very well attended both by telemedicine experts from the UK and experts from many European countries – we would like to thank everyone who made the time to visit our stand.

 

nuVIDEO in Aberdeen

nuVIDEO has formed a strategic partnership with ITWORX in Aberdeen, with video conferencing and audio/visual demonstration facilities forming part of their new refurbished premises in Holland Street

nuVIDEO’s Managing Director Martin Cruickshank said: ‘We believe this relationship offers real synergies combining the Video and AV skills of nuVIDEO with the IT and Communications expertise of ITWORX. Some of our most important customers are in Aberdeen so we felt that the time was right to have a permanent presence in the city.’

 

Cisco Scotland Business Partner Awards 2013

nuVIDEO won the “Business Video Partner of the Year” award in 2011 and 2012. With no “Video Partner of the Year” category this year, nuVIDEO was one of four partners nominated for “Collaboration Partner of the Year”. Although we were unsuccessful, the nomination further underlines our position as a dominant Cisco partner in Scotland as we continue to develop our Collaboration capabilities.

The partner event was held at Dunblane Hydro.

 

SCTT Telehealth and Telecare Event May 2013

nuVIDEO sponsored the SCTT event held at the John McIntyre Conference Centre, University of Edinburgh. The event provided delegates with the opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas and to help develop innovative ways to improve service delivery. Many thanks to all of the delegates who took time out to visit our stand - interest and feedback was very positive.

 

 
Telehealth and Telecare Learning Network

nuVIDEO showcased at the Telehealth and Telecare Learning Network event on 29th may 2013. The aim of Telehealth and Telecare service event was to:

  • Showcase Telehealth developments from across Scotland
  • Promote opportunities for collaboration and shared learningŸ
  • Explore common issues via solution-focussed group discussions

The programme included the following themes:

  • Short presentations showcasing services/projects from across Scotland
  • Opportunities to network with colleagues
  • Themed workshop discussions

 

Telehealth & Telecare Learning Network Event

nuVIDEO exhibited at the Telehealth & Telecare Learning Network Event on Thursday 1st November 2012. The nuVIDEO stand was visited by a large number of conference delegates from all over Scotland who left with a clearer understanding of the current video technologies we offer. This followed on from the equally successful event at the same venue earlier in the year.

Both events were held at Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh

This event was part of the programme of national network activities for Telehealth and Telecare.
